Demos: Building/District Benefits |
- Direct technical assistance on all levels of PBIS planning and implementation, with a specific emphasis on Individual or Tertiary levels of support at a rate proportionally greater than could be provided to non-demonstration sites in Illinois.
- Access to full range of supports in implementing a systems approach that can lead to district-wide improved outcomes for students with complex emotional/behavioral needs and other severe disabilities including:
- positive social/academic outcomes for these students
- increased family involvement,
- decreased out-of-district student placements,
- reduced referrals for psycho-educational testing,
- reduced placements in Special Education,
- increased safety, improved school climate, etc.
- Provide access to and training on data systems to include SIMEO for decision-making and reporting.
- Train teams/coaches in use of data tools, data analysis and reporting.
- Provide support to ensure student/parent involvement in planning, training and implementation activities which may address/meet other district goals for Family Involvement and Support.
- Opportunity to collaborate with other districts and same-position district staff and to share/borrow ideas around this research-based systems approach.
- Acknowledgment state-wide and nationally for the commitment to implementing such an intensive and effective process.
- Opportunity for and assistance with positive press / recognition on an on-going basis, especially when gains are made in process or outcome data district-wide.
- Assistance in improving district relationships with and access to community agencies and businesses, and their resources (time, skills, finances).
- Individual district personnel may benefit from opportunities to present on activities at state and national forums (some of which are hosted or co-hosted by the IL-PBIS Network).
